I am just crazy about this French 1920’s beaded collar. Can’t you imagine it on a spectacular flapper’s dress? These beads are in really great condition, especially for its age. Almost 100 years old, and the pale shell pink, white, black and sliver beads are still waiting to be shown off. I looked it over and didn’t see any missing beads, only a few that are loose. There are three rhinestones missing, but the casings is still there, so would be super easy to fill the casing with a new stone. But actually, it took a few moments to examine it to even notice three missing. The backside lining is worn and threaded, but it doesn’t appear to affect the front, the beads, or the lace that the beads are sewn on to. Honestly, I actually like the worn side – looks like silk and is so perfectly worn to perfection. This spectacular collar measures approximately 19″ long on the sides, 11.5″ wide from side to side, with 3″ tassels – all in tact. This would also be so beautiful simply draped over a vintage mannequin (as it has in my home for many years now).
